DiVersity Heritage Quilt Show June 2017

I wanted to share some photos from a Quilt show I went to see back in June.
Their theme was "Women & War Story Quilts", very interesting & well done.

Each of the squares utilized the
 same background fabric.
The use of a military issue blanket, made for a great
background for these squares of remembrance.

Made of 1/2" hexagons & each flower has 7 hexagons.
Made to commemorate the 230 French women

Also published in newspapers back in the day
were nursery rhyme blocks.
