I wanted to share some photos from a Quilt show I went to see back in June.
Their theme was "Women & War Story Quilts", very interesting & well done.

Each of the squares utilized the
same background fabric. |

The use of a military issue blanket, made for a great
background for these squares of remembrance. |

This quilt was some 74 years in the making! About 1993 the stripped diamond
pieces (thought to have been made in 1943) along with the newspaper templates
shown framed below, were found at a garage sale in the Williams Lake area. The
newspaper dated 1943 has images & stories of war & bombs. |

Made of 1/2" hexagons & each flower has 7 hexagons.
Made to commemorate the 230 French women
resistors in Auschwitz during World War II. |
